Oleoestepa – Olive oil shaped by land, people and time

Oleoestepa was founded in 1986 as a cooperative with a clear purpose: to bring together the olive growers of the Estepa region and protect the value of their work through quality and origin. Today, it unites 19 olive mills located in the Andalusian provinces of Seville and Córdoba and represents more than 7,500 olive-growing families, many of whom have cultivated olive trees for generations.

Across this territory, over 10 million olive trees are carefully tended following shared standards that prioritize early harvesting and respectful farming practices. This collective model allows Oleoestepa to oversee the entire process, from the olive grove to bottling, ensuring consistency, transparency, and a level of quality that individual producers could hardly achieve alone.

All oils produced by the cooperative are certified under the D.O.P. Estepa, widely regarded as one of the most demanding protected designations of origin in Spain. The seal guarantees not only geographical origin, but also strict controls on harvesting time, extraction temperature, and sensory quality. Olives are always cold-extracted at temperatures below 27 °C, preserving their freshness, fruitiness, and natural balance.

Sustainability plays a central role in Oleoestepa’s philosophy. A large part of its production is organic or comes from integrated farming, with a strong focus on soil conservation, efficient water use, and biodiversity protection. Many of the associated mills operate with renewable energy and reuse olive by-products, steadily moving toward climate-neutral production.

The commitment to quality and responsibility has earned Oleoestepa an outstanding international reputation. Its extra virgin olive oils are consistently recognized in the most prestigious competitions worldwide, including Mario Solinas, Flos Olei and the NYIOOC. These awards reflect not occasional success, but years of continuous work, careful selection, and rigorous quality control.

Oleoestepa’s range reflects the richness of the region through both single-varietal oils and expertly crafted blends. Varieties such as Hojiblanca, Arbequina and Picual are offered in distinct expressions, from smooth and elegant profiles to more intense, green and peppery oils. This diversity makes Oleoestepa oils suitable for everyday cooking as well as for professional kitchens and refined gastronomy.

Choosing Oleoestepa means choosing an olive oil with a clear origin, produced fairly and responsibly by thousands of families who share the same values. As a driving force behind the D.O.P. Estepa, the cooperative successfully combines traditional olive-growing knowledge with modern technology, offering oils that stand for authenticity, sustainability and genuine Mediterranean character.
