Masia El Altet Special Selection is one of the most exclusive expressions of the Alicante olive-growing tradition. Produced entirely from the native Changlot Real variety, this monovarietal extra virgin olive oil showcases the unique personality of a rare olive cultivated in the mountains surrounding the Polop Valley.
The olive groves are located between the Sierra de Mariola and Font Roja Natural Parks, an exceptional environment rich in aromatic and medicinal plants that contribute to the oil’s distinctive sensory profile. The combination of altitude, Mediterranean climate and carefully managed cultivation creates an olive oil of extraordinary character.
The olives are harvested at the pre-veraison stage, when their aromatic potential is at its highest. Immediate cold extraction preserves freshness, natural antioxidants and the exceptional concentration of polyphenols that characterises this limited-production oil.
On the nose, Special Selection displays remarkable complexity with intense notes of fennel, freshly cut grass, green herbs and Mediterranean vegetation. On the palate it is harmonious, elegant and persistent, offering a refined balance between fruitiness, bitterness and spice.
